Bilateral Outpatient Anterior THA

This is a 68 year old active male who presented with severe bilateral hip arthritis.

He underwent an anterior approach total hip replacement using our outpatient rapid recovery protocol. The patient was discharged home the same day in time for dinner.

At 1-week follow up, the patient was doing well and walking without a cane. At 6-week follow up, the patient was doing very well on his first hip replacement and proceeded for his second hip replacement in a similar outpatient fashion.

At 6 months, the patient resumed full activity including tennis and hiking.
