Dr. Chen’s Team

Maureen Phillips, RPA-C

Physician Assistant

 

Maureen is Dr. Chen’s lead physician assistant (PA).  She received her undergraduate degree from the University at Buffalo, followed by a master’s degree at Stony Brook University.  Maureen’s responsibilities include office based medical evaluations, patient follow ups, and preoperative/postoperative care. She assists Dr. Chen during surgery and has extensive experience in hip and knee replacement. Outside of work, she is an avid runner, yogi, and world traveler.

Gabrielle Michel

Medical Assistant

 

Gabby is a nationally certified medical assistant (NCMA) with 8 years of clinical and administrative experience in orthopedic, emergency, and internal medicine. She holds an Associates degree in liberal math and science, and is currently in pursuit of her nursing degree. Gabby is responsible for initial patient assessments and organizing the patient schedule during office hours.

Patricia Rodriguez

Office Manager
Medical Administrative Assistant

 

Patty has the critical role of running the inner workings of Dr. Chen’s practice. She is responsible for all things administrative, such as office and surgical scheduling, insurance approvals, and patient phone calls. Patients communicate with Dr. Chen directly through her.
